The Support You Need
🩺 1. Quality of Life Consultation
$149 (telemedicine appointment)
$449 in-person by one of our veterinarians (as available)
If you’re unsure whether your pet is ready for euthanasia or could benefit from continued care, this consultation offers clarity and next-step guidance.
During your 45-minute video appointment, Dr. Lynda Loudon or Dr. Matheson will:
Review your pet’s medical history, medications, and current condition
Explore your concerns, observations, and questions with warmth and expertise
Help you assess your pet’s overall comfort and quality of life
Recommend next steps, whether that’s scheduling a home euthanasia, or creating a palliative care plan
If you choose in-home euthanasia after this appointment, $50 of this fee will be credited toward your euthanasia visit.
Read Dr. Loudon’s article: When Is the Right Time for Euthanasia?
She made sure to include my older children who wanted to be there for their dog. She has such grace in this situation and made sure to give us our space and time alone as Diamond fell asleep so we could all say goodbye.
Kristen is also a delight to work with while scheduling and details. I would highly recommend peaceful transitions.
Knowing our dog was comfortable when we had to make the hardest decision meant everything to me and my children.
🌸 2. Palliative Care Consultation
$350 virtual or $650 in-home as available
For pets with chronic illness or aging-related discomfort, not yet ready to transition.
Palliative care focuses on comfort, symptom management, and emotional well-being for pets who are still engaged in life — even if they are living with terminal illness or advanced age.
During this comprehensive consultation, our doctors will:
- Review your pet’s medical and emotional history
- Assess their mobility, appetite, pain levels, and general quality of life
- Offer integrative solutions — including herbs, supplements, gentle medications, mobility support, energy work, and more
- Create a customized comfort care plan
- Support you emotionally, helping you tune into your pet’s changing needs with confidence and clarity
This is ideal for guardians who want to make their pet’s last chapter as comfortable and connected as possible.
However, she made a very emotional situation much less stressful, we are thankful for her and in good faith highly recommend her services.
🕊️ 3. Hospice Support Consultation
$250 virtual or $449 in-home (as available)
For pets who are nearing transition and need comfort-focused care
Hospice care is offered when your pet is likely in their final days to weeks of life. While euthanasia may not yet be scheduled, the goal is to create deep comfort and emotional presence — for both the pet and the guardian.
In this sacred support session, our doctor will:
- Assess your pet’s condition and readiness for transition
- Provide guidance for symptom relief, comfort positioning, and emotional support
- Discuss how to prepare for the euthanasia process (if/when it becomes necessary)
- Help you co-create a sacred, personalized transition plan, including ideas for ceremony and memory-making.
- Offer spiritual and energetic support for both pet and guardian
Hospice is not about “doing nothing” — it’s about doing what matters most: being present, relieving suffering, and honoring your pet every step of the way.
Dr Loudon was so understanding, kind and compassionate, to both our pet and our family.
She gently helped us through each step, giving us the time we needed. We are grateful to her, for being the wonderful person she is, helping families, and animals truly transition peacefully.
Thank you.
